I told myself this game was going to be the same stale repetitive game as the others with broken game play, but sadly I gave into the massive hype. I really should have known better. I too ended up selling the game only days after the poor decision of purchasing it.
It hasn't taken the crown of highest rated games after all, which is a good thing. I think gamers are complaining of fear it might because such a thing would be very disrespectful seeing such a game get that title.

I always thought it would be cool to play a game as Gray Fox as Ninja. Ninja Raiden would actually make for a more sensible game though. I always thought Raiden was a very cool underrated character too, but living in the shadow of the greatest video game hero of all time isn't an easy thing to do.
Content, and tag-lines are two totally different things. Learn the difference.

MGS is in a genre of its own. It's still a stealth action game that you have the choice to play as a 3rd or fps if you so choose. Now thats true variety.. Plus all the games the person above me mentioned.

The first Gears crushed Resistance, and I don't see how this one should be any different. This is coming from a ps3 owner, but if you've ever played the two, and you're a shooter fan you'll see that Gears is way more fun. Gears has almost perfected the gameplay for a 3rdps, and Resistance 1 was just a mediocre fps. I don't see much of a reason to compare the two, but if you do it's no contest. Absolutely untrue.
A good game is a good game regardless of the system, but same goes for a bad game. I'll be the first to admit I'd love to have Ninja Gaiden, and especially want Gears 2, but GTA 4 is pure crap imo. Bad game play, and the same 7 year old scripted repetitive missions made this game stale so fast that I traded it in without even completing it, which is rare that I don't even finish a game. It's just as overhyped as Halo, which is also bland, and stale imo.
I didn't even care to finish the game same as all the other gta's. Boring. 360 can have all the downloadable gta content in the world for all I care.
Anything beats those kiddy Halo games.
If you think that this game is going to be better than Gears 2 just by playing the demo then you're a complete fanboy. I can almost guarantee Gears will slaughter this game in every way possible. In-fact I don't think this game will even come close to surpassing the first Gears.

R* only give new numerals to their games with new engines for the GTA franchise. It's very possible that GTA5 might be on ps4, but certainly other GTA games will be released by then. Hopefully they can fix the broken gameplay, and repetitive missions by then, but given their record that seems highly unlikely. Either way I'm sick of the series by now.
For you to even try to defend the voice over work makes your argument seem unfounded. Almost everyone who played the demo agreed upon this fact. From the videos I've seen, and I've seen plenty the rest of the game has the same cheesy dialogue. Hell even the behind the scenes developer videos had the same cheese. Realistic art design?
